What is Freeze Panes?

You may have a lot of data that has been labelled, and want to scroll down or across whilst maintaining the view of the labels.
It’s like maintaining static the top or the left side (or both) of the spreadsheet.

To do this follow the screen shots below:

Highlight the row (or the cell) in which you want the above rows to be static.

Now proceed to the freeze pane option per below:

Your screen should now be frozen for the rows above the row that you had previously highlighted. You can now scroll up and down whilst see the labels for each column.

Unfreeze Panes

Once you have Freeze panes, you may want to remove them. To remove them follow the below diagram:
